OSI Lab Seminar Series

Short summary

In this (rather sudden) seminar, I will give a maximally non-technical tutorial on bandits, with emphasis on diferent variants and their motivations. This is based on an invited tutorial that I gave at Hyperconnect.

Abstract

Here is the table of contents:

  • What is a Bandit?
  • Types/Variants of Bandits, with practical motivation (no regret analysis, no algorithm explanations)
  • Overview of Bandit Algorithms
  • Offline Contextual Bandit 101
